A Mother I am

(example sensory poem)

By Joanne Pigdon

The mother ripples of warmth

holding her babe within a cuddle.

The bright, vibrant naked intimacy

of a mother, shivers with awe

at the wonder of love.

A smile and sweetest touch

mothers milk, her baby feeding

tenderly from her bosom

in an intimate embrace.

She raises her little one

to reveal an ardent devotion

more mighty than wind

and stronger that the ocean

all safe within in her arms

lay her reason for living

and on earth to stay

I am a mother, a mother I am
